Churches
First-Time
Visitors: Include "The Story
of Jesus for Children" video as
a gift in your visitor packet.
Commitment
Sunday: Evaluate the spiritual
life of children in your Sunday school.
Consider having a "Commitment
Sunday" the first Sunday of the
Sunday school year or during Christmas,
Palm Sunday, Easter Sunday or the last
Sunday of your Sunday school year.
You will make sure each child has been
given the opportunity to ask Jesus
into his or her life.
Sunday
School: Use "The Story of
Jesus for Children" as a "launching
pad" for a study of biblical truth
in your children's Sunday school classes.
A five lesson Teacher/Mentor's
Guide specifically designed
for use with the video is available.
Vacation
Bible School: The video presents
the story of Jesus from the announcement
of His conception to His death and
resurrection. It ends with Sara and
Benjamin challenging the audience (i.e.
all the children at VBS!) to invite
Jesus into their lives. What better
way to wrap up a time of vacation Bible
school than with an invitation like
this! Then, present each child with
a video to take home and share with
family and friends. We also have a
partnership with Child Evangelism Fellowship
(CEF), who has developed a VBS curriculum
and is available through our ministry.
Clubs: Schedule
a showing of "The Story of Jesus
for Children" for a club/Bible study
night. (AWANA, Pioneer Girls, Boys Brigade,
MOPS, Moms In Touch etc.). Give the video
as a Christmas or Easter gift to your
Bible study leaders.
Awards: Use "The
Story of Jesus for Children" video
as a special prize for activities/games.
These might include excellent attendance,
Bible memorization, bringing the most
friends, or showing the video to friends.
Movie
Night: Plan a special evangelistic
movie night using "The Story of
Jesus for Children." Invite children
to bring friends and family and provide
popcorn, juice, or other treats. At
the end, distribute "The
Greatest Promise" booklets to
all the children. Activities and materials
are available to help you with this
event.
Make "The
Story of Jesus for Children" available
through your church library and/or bookstore.
Parents
Gifts: Wrap
and present "The Story of Jesus
for Children" as part of a birthday
or Christmas gift for a child, Bible
study leader, school teacher, family
and friends. This video can be a special
gift to a camp counselor or an end-of-the-year
thank-you gift to a music teacher.
Tradition: Make
watching "The Story of Jesus for
Children" an annual Christmas and/or
Easter tradition for your family.
Extended
family: If you desire to reach
other children in your extended family
(i.e. nieces, nephews, grandchildren)
show "The Story of Jesus for Children" during
a family gathering. Invite their parents
to watch too—you could reach
your whole family this way! If the
children like the video, offer to give
them copies to watch in their homes.
Neighborhood: Use "The
Story of Jesus for Children" to
reach children in your neighborhood.
Invite your child's friends to a "party." Make
it a fun event with popcorn or other
treats. This may be the most important
movie these children ever see!
Clubs/Events: Create
a beautiful basket with many items including "The
Story of Jesus for Children" video.
This basket can be used as part of a
raffle or drawing at a Women's Spring
Tea, kick-off event or a special father/child
program. Offer the video as a prize at
a game night.
Schools
Public,
Private, Christian, Homeschool:
Show "The
Story of Jesus for Children" video
in a school assembly or chapel. The video
can be used to evaluate where a child
is spiritually.
Make "The
Story of Jesus for Children" a part
of a history or Bible class. The video
will help demonstrate that the teachings
and life of Jesus are historically true.
The video can be used as a "launching
pad" for a more extended study of
biblical principles. A five lesson Teacher/Mentor
Guide designed for use with
the video is available.
Make "The
Story of Jesus for Children" available
through your school library.
Have "The
Story of Jesus for Children" video
playing in the background during back
to school night.
Give a video
to each student as a reward for excellent
behavior, performance and Bible verse
memorization.
Schedule
a showing of "The Story of Jesus for
Children" during an after-school
program.
